San Sebastian, Spain

San Sebastian was great, hot, sunny, has two excellent beaches, tapas, cold beer, warm wine, and lots of beautiful people. We stayed on the edge of the old town by the river. The old town is full of tapas bars and restaurants, there is a really vebrant night life. It's great to just walk from bar to bar sampling the tapas, drinking beer or cups of wine. The two beaches are very clean and one has changing facilities as well as tiolets. A lot of Spanish holiday makers were there, so if you like Spain but hate resorts, check out San Sebastian. There's a lot of interesting architecture, the old town is actually one of the finest examples of a medieval town I have been too, with many narrow alleys sided with four or five story buildings.
